37 “Ai yêu cha yêu mẹ hơn Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy. Ai yêu con trai con gái hơn Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy
Wer Vater oder Mutter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht würdig, und wer Sohn oder Tochter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht würdig.
"Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 Ai không vác thập giá mình mà theo Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy.
Und wer nicht sein Kreuz auf sich nimmt und mir nachfolgt, ist meiner nicht würdig.
Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
39 Ai giữ lấy mạng sống mình, thì sẽ mất; còn ai liều mất mạng sống mình vì Thầy, thì sẽ tìm thấy được.
Wer das Leben gewinnen will, wird es verlieren; wer aber das Leben um meinetwillen verliert, wird es gewinnen.
Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
40 “Ai đón tiếp anh em là đón tiếp Thầy, và ai đón tiếp Thầy là đón tiếp Đấng đã sai Thầy.
Wer euch aufnimmt, der nimmt mich auf, und wer mich aufnimmt, nimmt den auf, der mich gesandt hat.
Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.
41 “Ai đón tiếp một ngôn sứ, vì người ấy là ngôn sứ, thì sẽ được lãnh phần thưởng dành cho bậc ngôn sứ; ai đón tiếp một người công chính, vì người ấy là người công chính, thì sẽ được lãnh phần thưởng dành cho bậc công chính.
Wer einen Propheten aufnimmt, weil es ein Prophet ist, wird den Lohn eines Propheten erhalten. Wer einen Gerechten aufnimmt, weil es ein Gerechter ist, wird den Lohn eines Gerechten erhalten.
Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.
42 “Và ai cho một trong những kẻ bé nhỏ này uống, dù chỉ một chén nước lã thôi, vì kẻ ấy là môn đệ của Thầy, thì Thầy bảo thật anh em, người đó sẽ không mất phần thưởng đâu.”
Und wer einem von diesen Kleinen auch nur einen Becher frisches Wasser zu trinken gibt, weil es ein Jünger ist - amen, ich sage euch: Er wird gewiss nicht um seinen Lohn kommen.
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.
