Gospel to John 15,1-8

 

Thầy là cây nho thật, và Cha Thầy là người trồng nho.

Ich bin der wahre Weinstock, und mein Vater ist der Winzer.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

 

Cành nào gắn liền với Thầy mà không sinh hoa trái, thì Người chặt đi; còn cành nào sinh hoa trái, thì Người cắt tỉa cho nó sinh nhiều hoa trái hơn.

Jede Rebe an mir, die keine Frucht bringt, schneidet er ab, und jede Rebe, die Frucht bringt, reinigt er, damit sie mehr Frucht bringt.

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.

 

Anh em được thanh sạch rồi nhờ lời Thầy đã nói với anh em.

Ihr seid schon rein durch das Wort, das ich zu euch gesagt habe.

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

 

Hãy ở lại trong Thầy như Thầy ở lại trong anh em. Cũng như cành nho không thể tự mình sinh hoa trái, nếu không gắn liền với cây nho, anh em cũng thế, nếu không ở lại trong Thầy.

Bleibt in mir, dann bleibe ich in euch. Wie die Rebe aus sich keine Frucht bringen kann, sondern nur, wenn sie am Weinstock bleibt, so könnt auch ihr keine Frucht bringen, wenn ihr nicht in mir bleibt.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

 

Thầy là cây nho, anh em là cành. Ai ở lại trong Thầy và Thầy ở lại trong người ấy, thì người ấy sinh nhiều hoa trái, vì không có Thầy, anh em chẳng làm gì được.

Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Reben. Wer in mir bleibt und in wem ich bleibe, der bringt reiche Frucht; denn getrennt von mir könnt ihr nichts vollbringen.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

 

Ai không ở lại trong Thầy, thì bị quăng ra ngoài như cành nho và sẽ khô héo. Người ta nhặt lấy, quăng vào lửa cho nó cháy đi.

Wer nicht in mir bleibt, wird wie die Rebe weggeworfen, und er verdorrt. Man sammelt die Reben, wirft sie ins Feuer, und sie verbrennen.

If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

 

Nếu anh em ở lại trong Thầy và lời Thầy ở lại trong anh em, thì muốn gì, anh em cứ xin, anh em sẽ được như ý.

Wenn ihr in mir bleibt und wenn meine Worte in euch bleiben, dann bittet um alles, was ihr wollt: Ihr werdet es erhalten.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

 

Điều làm Chúa Cha được tôn vinh là: Anh em sinh nhiều hoa trái và trở thành môn đệ của Thầy.

Mein Vater wird dadurch verherrlicht, dass ihr reiche Frucht bringt und meine Jünger werdet.

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
