Evangelium nach Matthäus 1,18-24.

Gospel to Matthew 1, 18-24

 

18 Chúa Kitô giáng sinh trong hoàn cảnh sau đây: Mẹ Người là Maria đính hôn với Giuse, trước khi về chung sống với nhau, đã thụ thai bởi phép Chúa Thánh Thần.

Mit der Geburt Jesu Christi war es so: Maria, seine Mutter, war mit Josef verlobt; noch bevor sie zusammengekommen waren, zeigte sich, dass sie ein Kind erwartete - durch das Wirken des Heiligen Geistes.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way: when his mother Mary was going to be married to Joseph, before they came together the discovery was made that she was with child by the Holy Spirit.

 

 

19 Giuse bạn của Bà là người công chính, không muốn tố cáo Bà, định tâm lìa bỏ Bà cách kín đáo.

Josef, ihr Mann, der gerecht war und sie nicht bloßstellen wollte, beschloss, sich in aller Stille von ihr zu trennen.

And Joseph, her husband, being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to put her away privately.

 

20 Nhưng đang khi định tâm như vậy, thiên thần Chúa hiện đến cùng ông trong giấc mơ và bảo: “Hỡi Giuse, con vua Đavít, đừng ngại nhận Maria về nhà làm bạn mình, vì Maria mang thai bởi phép Chúa Thánh Thần:

Während er noch darüber nachdachte, erschien ihm ein Engel des Herrn im Traum und sagte: Josef, Sohn Davids, fürchte dich nicht, Maria als deine Frau zu dir zu nehmen; denn das Kind, das sie erwartet, ist vom Heiligen Geist.

But when he was giving thought to these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, have no fear of taking Mary as your wife; because that which is in her body is of the Holy Spirit.

 

21 Bà sẽ hạ sinh một con trai mà ông sẽ đặt tên là Giêsu, vì chính Người sẽ cứu dân mình khỏi tội”.

Sie wird einen Sohn gebären; ihm sollst du den Namen Jesus geben; denn er wird sein Volk von seinen Sünden erlösen.

And she will give birth to a son; and you will give him the name Jesus; for he will give his people salvation from their sins.

 

22 Tất cả sự kiện này đã được thực hiện để làm trọn lời Chúa dùng miệng tiên tri phán xưa rằng:

Dies alles ist geschehen, damit sich erfüllte, was der Herr durch den Propheten gesagt hat:

Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,

 

23 “Này đây một trinh nữ sẽ mang thai và hạ sinh một con trai, người ta sẽ gọi tên con trẻ là Emmanuel, nghĩa là Thiên-Chúa-ở-cùng-chúng-ta”.

Seht, die Jungfrau wird ein Kind empfangen, einen Sohn wird sie gebären, und man wird ihm den Namen Immanuel geben, das heißt übersetzt: Gott ist mit uns.

See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.

 

24 Khi tỉnh dậy, Giuse đã thực hiện như lời thiên thần Chúa truyền: Ông tiếp nhận bạn mình.

Als Josef erwachte, tat er, was der Engel des Herrn ihm befohlen hatte, und nahm seine Frau zu sich.

And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;
