Gospel to Luke 2,22-40

 

22 Khi đã hết những ngày tinh sạch rồi, theo luật pháp Môi-se, Giô-sép và Ma-ri đem con trẻ lên thành Giê-ru-sa-lem để dâng cho Chúa, 

Als sich für die Eltern Jesu die Tage der vom Gesetz des Mose vorgeschriebenen Reinigung erfüllt hatten, brachten sie das Kind nach Jerusalem hinauf, um es dem Herrn darzustellen,

When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 

 

23 như đã chép trong luật pháp Chúa rằng: Hễ con trai đầu lòng, phải dâng cho Chúa, 

wie im Gesetz des Herrn geschrieben ist: Jede männliche Erstgeburt soll dem Herrn heilig genannt werden.

(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”[a]), 

 

24 lại dâng một cặp chim cu, hoặc chim bò câu con, như luật pháp Chúa đã truyền. 

Auch wollten sie ihr Opfer darbringen, wie es das Gesetz des Herrn vorschreibt: ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben.

and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”[b]

 

25 Vả, trong thành Giê-ru-sa-lem có một người công bình đạo đức, tên là Si-mê-ôn, trông đợi sự yên ủi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, và Đức Thánh Linh ngự trên người. 

Und siehe, in Jerusalem lebte ein Mann namens Simeon. Dieser Mann war gerecht und fromm und wartete auf den Trost Israels und der Heilige Geist ruhte auf ihm.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 

 

26 Đức Thánh Linh đã bảo trước cho người biết mình sẽ không chết trước khi thấy Đấng Christ của Chúa. 

Vom Heiligen Geist war ihm offenbart worden, er werde den Tod nicht schauen, ehe er den Christus des Herrn gesehen habe.

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 

 

27 Vậy người cảm bởi Đức Thánh Linh vào đền thờ, lúc có cha mẹ đem con trẻ là Jêsus đến, để làm trọn cho Ngài các thường lệ mà luật pháp đã định, 

Er wurde vom Geist in den Tempel geführt; und als die Eltern das Kind Jesus hereinbrachten, um mit ihm zu tun, was nach dem Gesetz üblich war,

Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 

 

28 thì người bồng ẵm con trẻ, mà ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời rằng: 

nahm Simeon das Kind in seine Arme und pries Gott mit den Worten:

Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

 

29 Lạy Chúa, bây giờ xin Chúa cho tôi tớ Chúa được qua đời bình an, theo như lời Ngài; 

Nun lässt du, Herr, deinen Knecht, wie du gesagt hast, in Frieden scheiden.

“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,you may now dismiss[c] your servant in peace.

 

30 Vì con mắt tôi đã thấy sự cứu vớt của Ngài, 

Denn meine Augen haben das Heil gesehen,

For my eyes have seen your salvation,

 

31 Mà Ngài đã sắm sửa đặng làm ánh sáng trước mặt muôn dân, 

das du vor allen Völkern bereitet hast,

which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:

 

32 Soi khắp thiên hạ, Và làm vinh hiển cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên là dân Ngài. 

ein Licht, das die Heiden erleuchtet, und Herrlichkeit für dein Volk Israel.

a light for revelation to the Gentiles,and the glory of your people Israel.”

 

33 Cha mẹ con trẻ lấy làm lạ về mấy lời người ta nói về con. 

Sein Vater und seine Mutter staunten über die Worte, die über Jesus gesagt wurden.

The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 

 

34 Si-mê-ôn bèn chúc phước cho hai vợ chồng, nói với Ma-ri, mẹ con trẻ rằng: Đây, con trẻ nầy đã định làm một cớ cho nhiều người trong Y-sơ-ra-ên vấp ngã hoặc dấy lên, và định làm một dấu gây nên sự cãi trả; 

Und Simeon segnete sie und sagte zu Maria, der Mutter Jesu: Siehe, dieser ist dazu bestimmt, dass in Israel viele zu Fall kommen und aufgerichtet werden, und er wird ein Zeichen sein, dem widersprochen wird, ?

Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 

 

35 còn phần ngươi, có một thanh gươm sẽ đâm thấu qua lòng ngươi. Ấy vậy tư tưởng trong lòng nhiều người sẽ được bày tỏ. 

und deine Seele wird ein Schwert durchdringen. So sollen die Gedanken vieler Herzen offenbar werden.

so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

 

36 Lại có bà tiên tri An-ne, con gái của Pha-nu-ên, về chi phái A-se, đã cao tuổi lắm. Từ lúc còn đồng trinh đã ở với chồng được bảy năm; 

Damals lebte auch Hanna, eine Prophetin, eine Tochter Penuals, aus dem Stamm Ascher. Sie war schon hochbetagt. Als junges Mädchen hatte sie geheiratet und sieben Jahre mit ihrem Mann gelebt;

There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 

 

37 rồi thì ở góa. Bấy giờ đã tám mươi bốn tuổi, chẳng hề ra khỏi đền thờ, cứ đêm ngày hầu việc Đức Chúa Trời, kiêng ăn và cầu nguyện. 

nun war sie eine Witwe von vierundachtzig Jahren. Sie hielt sich ständig im Tempel auf und diente Gott Tag und Nacht mit Fasten und Beten.

and then was a widow until she was eighty-four.[d] She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 

 

38 Một lúc ấy, người cũng thình lình đến đó, ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời, và nói chuyện về con trẻ với mọi người trông đợi sự giải cứu của thành Giê-ru-sa-lem. 

Zu derselben Stunde trat sie hinzu, pries Gott und sprach über das Kind zu allen, die auf die Erlösung Jerusalems warteten.

Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

 

39 Khi Giô-sép và Ma-ri đã làm trọn mọi việc theo luật pháp Chúa rồi, thì trở về thành của mình là Na-xa-rét trong xứ Ga-li-lê. 

Als seine Eltern alles getan hatten, was das Gesetz des Herrn vorschreibt, kehrten sie nach Galiläa in ihre Stadt Nazaret zurück.

When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 

 

40 Con trẻ lớn lên, và mạnh mẽ, được đầy dẫy sự khôn ngoan, và ơn Đức Chúa Trời ngự trên Ngài.

Das Kind wuchs heran und wurde stark, erfüllt mit Weisheit, und Gottes Gnade ruhte auf ihm.

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
