Ai yêu cha yêu mẹ hơn Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy. Ai yêu con trai con gái hơn Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy.
In jener Zeit sprach Jesus zu seinen Aposteln: Wer Vater oder Mutter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht würdig, und wer Sohn oder Tochter mehr liebt als mich, ist meiner nicht würdig.
He who has more love for his father or mother than for me is not good enough for me; he who has more love for son or daughter than for me is not good enough for me.
Ai không vác thập giá mình mà theo Thầy, thì không xứng với Thầy.
Und wer nicht sein Kreuz auf sich nimmt und mir nachfolgt, ist meiner nicht würdig.
And he who does not take his cross and come after me is not good enough for me.
Ai giữ lấy mạng sống mình, thì sẽ mất; còn ai liều mất mạng sống mình vì Thầy, thì sẽ tìm thấy được.
Wer das Leben gewinnen will, wird es verlieren; wer aber das Leben um meinetwillen verliert, wird es gewinnen.
He who has the desire to keep his life will have it taken from him, and he who gives up his life because of me will have it given back to him.
Ai đón tiếp anh em là đón tiếp Thầy, và ai đón tiếp Thầy là đón tiếp Đấng đã sai Thầy.
Wer euch aufnimmt, der nimmt mich auf, und wer mich aufnimmt, nimmt den auf, der mich gesandt hat.
He who gives honour to you gives honour to me; and he who gives honour to me gives honour to him who sent me.
Ai đón tiếp một ngôn sứ, vì người ấy là ngôn sứ, thì sẽ được lãnh phần thưởng dành cho bậc ngôn sứ; ai đón tiếp một người công chính, vì người ấy là người công chính, thì sẽ được lãnh phần thưởng dành cho bậc công chính
Wer einen Propheten aufnimmt, weil es ein Prophet ist, wird den Lohn eines Propheten erhalten. Wer einen Gerechten aufnimmt, weil es ein Gerechter ist, wird den Lohn eines Gerechten erhalten.
He who gives honour to a prophet, in the name of a prophet, will be given a prophet's reward; and he who gives honour to an upright man, in the name of an upright man, will be given an upright man's reward.
Và ai cho một trong những kẻ bé nhỏ này uống, dù chỉ một chén nước lã thôi, vì kẻ ấy là môn đệ của Thầy, thì Thầy bảo thật anh em, người đó sẽ không mất phần thưởng đâu.
Und wer einem von diesen Kleinen auch nur einen Becher frisches Wasser zu trinken gibt, weil es ein Jünger ist - amen, ich sage euch: Er wird gewiss nicht um seinen Lohn kommen.
And whoever gives to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he will not go without his reward.
