Gospel to Luke 2,22-40

 

 

Khi đã đến ngày lễ thanh tẩy của các ngài theo luật Mô-sê, bà Ma-ri-a và ông Giu-se đem con lên Giê-ru-sa-lem, để tiến dâng cho Chúa,

Es kam für die Eltern Jesu der Tag der vom Gesetz des Mose vorgeschriebenen Reinigung. Sie brachten das Kind nach Jerusalem hinauf, um es dem Herrn zu weihen,

And when the necessary days for making them clean by the law of Moses had come to an end, they took him to Jerusalem to give him to the Lord

 

như đã chép trong Luật Chúa rằng: “Mọi con trai đầu lòng phải được gọi là của thánh, dành cho Chúa”,

gemäß dem Gesetz des Herrn, in dem es heißt: Jede männliche Erstgeburt soll dem Herrn geweiht sein.

(As it says in the law of the Lord, Every mother's first male child is to be holy to the Lord),

 

và cũng để dâng của lễ theo Luật Chúa truyền, là một đôi chim gáy hay một cặp bồ câu non.

Auch wollten sie ihr Opfer darbringen, wie es das Gesetz des Herrn vorschreibt: ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben.

And to make an offering, as it is ordered in the law of the Lord, of two doves or other young birds.

 

Hồi ấy ở Giê-ru-sa-lem, có một người tên là Si-mê-ôn. Ông là người công chính và sùng đạo, ông những mong chờ niềm an ủi của Ít-ra-en, và Thánh Thần hằng ngự trên ông.

In Jerusalem lebte damals ein Mann namens Simeon. Er war gerecht und fromm und wartete auf die Rettung Israels, und der Heilige Geist ruhte auf ihm.

And there was then in Jerusalem a man whose name was Simeon; and he was an upright man, fearing God and waiting for the comfort of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was on him.

 

Ông đã được Thánh Thần linh báo cho biết là ông sẽ không thấy cái chết trước khi được thấy Đấng Ki-tô của Đức Chúa.

Vom Heiligen Geist war ihm offenbart worden, er werde den Tod nicht schauen, ehe er den Messias des Herrn gesehen habe.

And he had knowledge, through the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death till he had seen the Lord's Christ.

 

Được Thần Khí thúc đẩy, ông lên Đền Thờ. Vào lúc cha mẹ Hài Nhi Giê-su đem con tới để chu toàn tập tục Luật đã truyền liên quan đến Người,

Jetzt wurde er vom Geist in den Tempel geführt; und als die Eltern Jesus hereinbrachten, um zu erfüllen, was nach dem Gesetz üblich war,

And full of the Spirit he came into the Temple; and when the father and mother came in with the child Jesus, to do with him what was ordered by the law,

 

thì ông ẵm lấy Hài Nhi trên tay, và chúc tụng Thiên Chúa rằng:

nahm Simeon das Kind in seine Arme und pries Gott mit den Worten:

Then he took him in his arms and gave praise to God and said,

 

Muôn lạy Chúa, giờ đây,theo lời Ngài đã hứa,xin để tôi tớ này được an bình ra đi.

Nun lässt du, Herr, deinen Knecht, wie du gesagt hast, in Frieden scheiden.

Now you are letting your servant go in peace, O Lord, as you have said;

 

Vì chính mắt con được thấy ơn cứu độ

Denn meine Augen haben das Heil gesehen,

For my eyes have seen your salvation,

 

Chúa đã dành sẵn cho muôn dân:

das du vor allen Völkern bereitet hast,

Which you have made ready before the face of all nations;

 

Đó là ánh sáng soi đường cho dân ngoại,là vinh quang của Ít-ra-en Dân Ngài.”

ein Licht, das die Heiden erleuchtet, und Herrlichkeit für dein Volk Israel.

A light of revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.

 

Cha và mẹ Hài Nhi ngạc nhiên vì những lời ông Si-mê-ôn vừa nói về Người.

Sein Vater und seine Mutter staunten über die Worte, die über Jesus gesagt wurden.

And his father and mother were full of wonder at the things which were said about him.

 

Ông Si-mê-ôn chúc phúc cho hai ông bà, và nói với bà Ma-ri-a, mẹ của Hài Nhi: “Thiên Chúa đã đặt cháu bé này làm duyên cớ cho nhiều người Ít-ra-en ngã xuống hay đứng lên. Cháu còn là dấu hiệu cho người đời chống báng;

Und Simeon segnete sie und sagte zu Maria, der Mutter Jesu: Dieser ist dazu bestimmt, dass in Israel viele durch ihn zu Fall kommen und viele aufgerichtet werden, und er wird ein Zeichen sein, dem widersprochen wird.

And Simeon gave them his blessing and said to Mary, his mother, See, this child will be the cause of the downfall and the lifting up of great numbers of people in Israel, and he will be a sign against which hard words will be said;

 

và như vậy, những ý nghĩ từ thâm tâm nhiều người sẽ lộ ra. Còn chính bà, một lưỡi gươm sẽ đâm thâu tâm hồn bà.”

Dadurch sollen die Gedanken vieler Menschen offenbar werden. Dir selbst aber wird ein Schwert durch die Seele dringen.

(And a sword will go through your heart;) so that the secret thoughts of men may come to light.

 

Lại cũng có một nữ ngôn sứ tên là An-na, con ông Pơ-nu-ên, thuộc chi tộc A-se. Bà đã nhiều tuổi lắm. Từ khi xuất giá, bà đã sống với chồng được bảy năm,

Damals lebte auch eine Prophetin namens Hanna, eine Tochter Penuëls, aus dem Stamm Ascher. Sie war schon hochbetagt. Als junges Mädchen hatte sie geheiratet und sieben Jahre mit ihrem Mann gelebt;

And there was one, Anna, a woman prophet, the daughter of Phanuel, of the family of Asher (she was very old, and after seven years of married life

 

rồi ở góa, đến nay đã tám mươi tư tuổi. Bà không rời bỏ Đền Thờ, những ăn chay cầu nguyện, sớm hôm thờ phượng Thiên Chúa.

nun war sie eine Witwe von vierundachtzig Jahren. Sie hielt sich ständig im Tempel auf und diente Gott Tag und Nacht mit Fasten und Beten.

She had been a widow for eighty-four years); she was in the Temple at all times, worshipping with prayers and going without food, night and day.

 

Cũng vào lúc ấy, bà tiến lại gần bên, cảm tạ Thiên Chúa, và nói về Hài Nhi cho hết những ai đang mong chờ ngày Thiên Chúa cứu chuộc Giê-ru-sa-lem.

In diesem Augenblick nun trat sie hinzu, pries Gott und sprach über das Kind zu allen, die auf die Erlösung Jerusalems warteten.

And coming up at that time, she gave praise to God, talking of him to all those who were waiting for the freeing of Jerusalem.

 

Khi hai ông bà đã làm xong mọi việc như Luật Chúa truyền, thì trở về nơi cư ngụ là thành Na-da-rét, miền Ga-li-lê.

Als seine Eltern alles getan hatten, was das Gesetz des Herrn vorschreibt, kehrten sie nach Galiläa in ihre Stadt Nazaret zurück.

And when they had done all the things which were ordered by the law of the Lord, they went back to Galilee, to Nazareth, the town where they were living.

 

 

Còn Hài Nhi ngày càng lớn lên, thêm vững mạnh, đầy khôn ngoan, và hằng được ân nghĩa cùng Thiên Chúa.

Das Kind wuchs heran und wurde kräftig; Gott erfüllte es mit Weisheit, und seine Gnade ruhte auf ihm.

And the child became tall and strong and full of wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
